Onion Raita

Onion Raita is such a simple and quick recipe. Its too easy to prepare and very delicious one. It just takes about 5mts of time. The main ingredient of this recipe is Curd(Yogurt). This recipe tastes so good if the curd is little sour. I consider this recipe as Bachelor's recipe also.

It does not need any tadka(seasoning) or need not add single drop of oil too. But if anyone likes adding tadka, just heat the oil, add mustard seeds(1/4 tsp) , jeera(1/4tsp) , 1/2tsp of urad daal, curry leaves(5 no), red chillies(2 no), pinch of hing, fry a minute. The cool to room tempurature and add it to the raita. Then garnish with coriander leaves. This one tastes more good.
Here is the recipe for it.
Ingredients:
Yogurt- 1 cup
onion- 1 small
Coriander leaves- 2tbsp chopped
Red chilli powder- 1/4tsp
Salt- 1/2 tsp
Hing- pinch
Daniya powder- 1/4tsp
Preparations:
1. Wash and chop the onion, coriander leaves very finely and keep aside.
2. Take prpeared or store baught yougurt into a small bowl.
Method:
1. Into the yougurt, add finely chopped onion and coriander leaves and mix well.
2. Add salt, hing, chilli powder, daniya powder, mix well.
3. Check the seasoning, cover with lid and put it in freezer for 2omts or serve right away.
Onion raita is ready to be served.
Tip:
1. You can serve this with chapathi, paratha or any biryani or pulao etc.
2. You can avoid red chilli powder, instead you can add finely chopped green chillies too.
3. As I said, you can also add tadka.
This is very quick recipe. I hope all the bachelor's will try and enjoy with their favorite dishes. Thanks. Bye...
