Ingrdients:
1. Plain white rice- 1 cup cooked
2. MTR puliohora powder - 2tbsp
3. Oil- 2tbsp
4. Salt- to taste
5. Mustard seeds and jeera- 1/2 tsp each
6. Turmeric- pinch
7. Red chillies- 3 no
8. Curry leaves- 1 spring
9. Urad dal and channa dal- 1tbsp each
10. Ground nuts- 1tbsp
11. Cashew nuts- 1tbsp (Optional)
12. Coriander leaves- 1tbsp chopped
13. Hing- pinch
Preparations:
1. Wash and soak rice abt 15mts and cook the rice. (for 1 cup rice, add 2 cups of water).
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, jeera, when they crackle, add tumreric, hing and fry.
2. Add curry leaves, red chillies, urad dal and channa dal and fry till the dal gets golden colour.
3. Add ground nuts and broken cashew nuts and fry a minute.
4. Now add cooked white rice, salt and stir well.
5. Then add instant mtr pulihora powder and mix everything well.
6. Cook for 2mts by covering with lid, oven cover and check the seasoning.
7. Turn off the stove and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Tips:
1. Don't add too much pulihora powder.
2. This can be served as it it or with raita.
