Cauliflower onion fry is a awesome dish made with cauliflower. This goes well with rice and chapathis. When I have cauliflower at my home, sometimes I will prepare cauliflower chutney, cauliflower fry, cauliflower (gobi) paratha and cauliflower rice.
Ingredients:
Cauliflower- 1/2 medium
Onion- 1 big
Salt- to taste
Chilli powder- 2 tsp
Garam masala- 1tsp
Mustard seeds and jeera- 1 tsp each
Turmeric- pinch
Oil- 2tbsp
Cashew nuts- 10 no (optional)
Preparations:
1. Wash and chop the cauliflower florets into small.
2. Peal and chop the onion into long slices.
3. Put both cauliflower and onion into a microwavable bowl and microwave abt 5 mts( the time may vary to your microwave).
Method:
1. Heat non stick pan, add oil, add cashews, fry till golden colour, remove from oil and keep aside.
2. Add mustard and jeera, when they crackle, add turmeric, cooked cauliflower and onion slices, mix well an fry abt 4mts.
3. Add chilli powder, salt, and garam masala powder, fried cashew nuts, stir well and turn off the stove after a minute.
Note:
You can deep fry the cauliflpwer and onion in hot oil instead of microwave them. If u are health conscious, then put them in microwave.
That's all, the cauliflower onion fry is ready to serve.
