Onion Pakodi

Onion Pakodi is my favorite snack.  Perfect snack for rainy day. Try it and enjoy with your family.

Ingredients:
Besan flour- 1 cup or sufficient
Onions- 3 medium
Jeera- 1tbsp
Chilli powder- 1tsp
Salt- to taste
Turmeric- 1/8 tsp
Curry leaves-handful(Optional)
Oil- for frying
Oil- 1tbsp(to mix with the batter)
All you need: A frying pan, spatualla, 2 tissues or newspapaers.

Preparations:
1. Peal the onions, chop them into thin and long slices. Separate each onion slice so that the pakodi will come very crispy.
Method:
1. In a bowl, take sliced onions, add chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, jeera, mix well.
2. Heat 1tbsp of oil and add it to the onion mix and mix well.
3. Finally add besan flour little by little, meanwhile mix well, so we should not add all the besan flour at once. Add until the besan flour is sticked to all onion slices and each onion slice should be separated and coated very well with besan.
Note: Do not add any water while mixing the batter. The moisture of the onion slices itself sufficient to coat the besan flour.
4. Once the Onion mix is ready, we can immediately prepare pakodi. (You need not set it aside for a while).
5. Heat oil in a pan for frying the pakodi, when it is hot, drop the onion slices into oil, fry on both sides till golden brown colour (or when it appears to be little crispy).
6. Once they are done, remove them from oil and arrange them on any tissue or newspaper for a minute so that extra oil will be observed by it.
7. Repeat the same process till the onion mix is finished and hot hot pakodi is done.
8. Finally turn off the stove and add the curry leaves to hot oil and remove from oil when they are crispy.

Now the tasty and delicious onion pakodi is ready to be served. Just decorate with fried curry leaves and enjoy with your family members.
Try it and let me know your comments on it. Thanks.
