Attesaru -(Rice and Moong daal Kichidi)

Attesaru is a Telangana dish which is made of rice, moong daal and milk. It is very healthy dish. Its good for kids.







Ingredients:
Rice- 1 cup
Moong daal- 1 cup
Milk- 1 cup
Water- as needed
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Jeera- 1 tsp
Channa daal- 1 tsp
Urad daal- 1 tsp
Ghee- 1 tbsp
Hing- pinch
Turmeric- pinch
Curry leaves- 5 no
Coriander leaves- 3 tbsp
Green chilli- 4 no
Red chilli- 4 no
Whole pepper seeds- 10 no
Preparations:

1.Wash and soak the moong daal and rice separately for about 30mts
2. Boil the daal and rice together by adding 2 cups of extra water (Basically it should be well cooked).
3. Chop the green chilli and coriander leaves.

Method:
1. Heat the ghee in the pan, add hing, pepper seeds, mustard seeds, when they crackle add jeera.
2. Add turmeric, curry leaves, green chilli, red chilli and fry for 2mts.
3. Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of milk to it, mix well. Let it comes to the boiling stage.
4. Add salt, add cooked rice(mash rice little with the spoon), mix well, close the lid and cook abt 3mts.
5. Check the salt, switch off the stove, add chopped coriander leaves.
The tasty Attesaru is ready.
Note:
1. You can replace milk by adding water itself (Milk gives creamy texture also it makes the dish tasteful).
2. Whole pepper can be replaced by Pepper powder.
