Potato Fry














We can make any no.of dishes with Potato. It is everyone's favorite dish. Potato fry is a good combination to rice and chapathi.
Ingredients:
Potatoes- 3 medium
Kasturi methi leaves- 1tbsp
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Jeera- 1 tsp
Urad daal- 1 tsp
Hing- pinch
Turmeric- pinch
Onion - 1 medium
Garlic- 4 no
Curry leaves- 4 no
Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
Salt- for taste
Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Daniya powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1 tsp(optional)
Oil- 1 tbsp
Lemon juice- 1 tsp(Optional)
Ginger- 1 tsp

Preparations:

1. Wash and peal the potatoes, chop them into cube size.
2. Put them in a microwave safe bowl, sprinckle some water and micowave it abt 5mts and remove from it and keep aside.
3. Chop the onion, green onion, curry leaves, ginger and garlic, cilantro and keep aside.

Method:
1. Heat oil in the pan, add hing, mustard seeds, when they crackle, add jeera.
2. Add urad daal, turmeric, curry leaves, ginger and garlic paste, mix well and fry abt 1mts.
3. Add onion, green onion and fry till onions becomes crispy.
4. Add boiled potatoes to pan, mix well and fry abt 4mts.
5. Add salt, chilli powder, lemon juice, crushed kasturi methi leaves, garam masala powder, stir well and cook abt 1mt.
6. Switch off the stove , add cilantro and serve hot
