Chapathi- Indian flat bread

Chapathi is a famous Indian flat bread. It can be taken as breakfast, lunch or dinner or at any time. Mainly people who are in diet will take this chapathi to avoid more carbohydrates by taking the rice. It can be preserved for 3 days(minimum). Today I am going to show how to prepare chapathi dough also making chapathi's as well.

Serve the chapathi with any kurma, subji, pickle or with any prepared powder(like putnala podi, u can find in my previous post).

Ingredients:

Atta- 1 cup
Salt- 1 tsp
Water- 1/2 cup or requied
Oil- for frying the Chapathi

Note: We need a rolling pin to roll the chapathi's. We can buy from any Indian stores.

Preparations:

1. Mix atta with salt, oil(1 tsp) and mix well without any lumps.

2. Add luke warm water little by little and mix the flour, such a way mix enite flour and make a tough dough of it. Apply oil top of the douch and allow it to set about 30mts. After 30mts need the dough very well to make the round balls. Check the picture.

3. Divide the dough into equal round balls. Now they are ready to roll as chapathis. Check the picture.

4. Take a round ball, need it well, apply little flour to it, take the rolling pin and roll it as round chapathi like wise prepare all the chapathis's.

5. Heat the pan, put little oil, put the chapathi and fry on both sides. Like wise fry all the chapathi's.

The chapathi's looks like this.

Enjoy the recipe with mushroom curry or putnala podi which I posted previously.

Thanks. Meet you soon with a new recipe. bye
