Mirapakaya Easru(Green chilli gravy)

This Mirapakaya Esaru is one of my in-laws famous and favorite dish. Its quite different too. It has a distinct flavour. The main ingredients are ground nuts, lemon juice, garlic and green chillies.

Ingredients:

Ground nuts- 1 cup
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Jeera- 1 tsp
Hing- pinch
Turmeric- 1/8 tsp
Green chillies- 10 to 12 no (Bigger ones)
Garlic- 7 no
Curry leaves- 4 no
Coriander leaves- 2
salt- for taste
Oil- 2 tsp
Lemon juice- 1 tbsp

Preparations:

1. Dry roast the ground nuts and cool them.
2. In a blender, add roasted ground nuts, garlic slices, jeera(1/2tsp), turmeric, add water and grind as a fine and thin batter.
3. Take bigger sized green chilli, wash them, put a slit(like we make it for bajji's) and remove the seeds (U can have the seeds, if u want the dish to be spicy).
4. In a bowl, take water, add slitted green chillies and boil it. Once the water comes to the boiling stage, drain the water and keep the green chillies aside.

Method:

1. Heat oil in the pan, add hing, mustard seeds when they pop up add jeera.
2. Add turmeric powder, curry leaves, boiled green chillies, stir well and fry for 2mts.
3. Add the ground pea nuts batter to it, stir well and let it comes to the boiling point.
4. Check the consistency, add water if required.
5. Add salt, lemon juice, cilantro, mix well and cook again about 3mts and turn off the stove.

Serve hot with plain rice. It can be preserved about 2 days. Mostly it should be liquid consistency. I am sure that it has a different flavour and u will definitely like this dish...

Thanks for watching my recipe....
