Gulab Jamoon

Gulab Jamoon is a famous sweet. Here is the recipe for it.









Ingredients for making jamoon dough:

1. MTR Gulab jamoon powder- 1 cup
2. Butter(melted, unslated)- 2tbsp
3. Water - enough to mix the dough
4. Oil- for frying


Making dough and preparing Jamoon:


1. Mix the Jamoon powder with melted butter, add enough water and make a soft dough by needing it finely. Leave the dough abt 30mts. After 30mts, need it again for 5mts. Now it is ready to make Jamoon.

2. Divide the dough into equal parts(as lemon sized). Make round balls of it. Keep a side.

3. Heat the oil for frying in a pan, When the oil is hot, add Jamoon baals and fry on the both sides till golden brown colour. The oil should not be too hot. If the oil is too hot, the balls will be cooked only outside and inside it will not be cooked.
4. When the balls cooked on both sides, remove them from hot oil and keep a side.

Ingredients for Sugar syrup :


1. Granulated sugar- 1.5 cups
2. Water- 1.5 cups
3. Ilachi powder- 1 tsp


Preparation of Sugar syrup:


1. Heat the pan, add 1.5 cups of sugar, add water and let it boil about 5 mts.
2. Add the Ilachi powder and boil it till a string consistancy.
3. Now add the fried jamoon balls. Keep a lid and leave about 30mts.


Now the Gulab Jamoon is ready to serve.








Note:

1. Can be cooled in the Fridge about 1hr and serve chilled. It will be more tasty.
2. Can be served with Ice cream.
3. It will be stored in the frigde about a week of time.
