Masala Poha (Atukulu)

South Indians make lots of dishes from Atukulu(poha). This is one variety which is prepared without using the stove, I mean no need to cook on stove, its completely raw which taste more good.

Ingredients:

Atukulu- 2cups
Onion- 2 medium
Salt- for taste
Chilli powder- 2tsp
Oil- 2tbsp
Green chilli- 3no
Coriander leaves- 1/2cup
Turmeric- pinch
green onion- 1/2 cup
Lemon juice- for taste
roasted pea nut powder- 2tbsp
Roasted sessame seeds powder- 2tbsp
Fried channa daal powder(putnalu)- 1tbsp.
Chat masala- 1 tsp(optinal)
Daniya powder- 1tsp(optional)
Any thin sev or mixture or chips crushed- 1/2 cup (optional)

Preparations:

1. dry roast the pea nuts, sessame seeds. cool them. In blender add sessame sseds, putnalu, pea nuts, grind as fine powder without adding water, keep aside
2. Chop the onion, green chilli, cilantro very finely.

Method:

1. In a bowl, put atukulu, ground pea nut mixed powder, salt, chilli powder, mix well.
2. Add all other mentioned ingredients and mix well.
3. Add oil, lemon juice, cilanro, mix well.
4. Check the salt and spiceness, add extra if u want.
5. Serve it by decorating with crushed chips or any store baught mixture or sev...

Note:
1. It will taste good only for 1 day. Since we have added the onion, we can't keep it for next day.
2. If large amount of poha is left over, don't waste it, keep in fridge, take out and heat in microwave for a minute, mix well and eat it. But my suggestion is try to finish on same day...

Please post ur comments on it...
