Putnala Podi(Fried Channa daal powder)

Putnala Podi(Fried Channa daal powder) is a tasty powder, which goes well with plain hot rice and chapathi. It can be stored for a month of time at room tempurature.






Ingredients:

Putnalu- 2 cups
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Jeera- 1 tsp
Urad daal- 2tsp
Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves- 5 no
Salt- for taste
Oil- 3tsp
Hing- Pinch
Red chilli- 5 no
Chilli powder - 2 tsp or as necessary
Garlic cloves- 6 to 8 no

Method:

1. In blender, add Putnalu, chilli powder, salt, galic cloves, turmeric(pinch), hing, blend as a fine powder without adding any water.
2. Heat the pan with oil, add hing, mustard seeds when they crackle add jeera, urad daal, red chilli, curry leaves, turmeric powder, mix well and cook for 2mts.
3. Now add this seasoning to the ground powder, mix well, check the seaoning and salt (add if necessary).

This is done.




Note:
U can preserve it in air tight box or a glass jar which will lost for a month of time.
